The Original Six Hockey 1942 Professional Development Program will strive to provide young players who may or may not be involved in Hockey Canada’s Initiation Program (I.P), an opportunity to further develop their skating and hockey skills through a professional development skill based program involving unique and challenging power skating drills as well as quick pace,high intensity puck handling drills with an important corrective component .
Tiered games /scrimmages are then organized to help reinforce these skills on a modified ice surface ( National Training Rinks ) which is Hockey Canada approved. The result is an increase in skill development at a much quicker rate for all players.
This will also in turn help The player to develop character,sportsmanship,a sense of teamwork,and respect for authority and for all participants in a safe ,growth -oriented environment. With our team of professional instructors ,coaches and trainers , Original Six Hockey 1942, will provide all players with the tools to rapidly enhance their hockey skills which will allow them to move on to the next level of their hockey career with new found confidence.
Our ultimate goal is to guide all players to reach their potential in a non-political environment geared toward treating all players equally and with respect. We are in the business of not only developing players but also in creating a family friendly and relaxed atmosphere conducive to making hockey fun again!!
