Original Six Hockey 1942

What an amazing first game it was between the leafs and the Canadiens. With fast paced end to end action, all parents,family and friends at the Aurora Community Center were in for a real treat as the leafs and the canadiens skated to a 3 to 3 tie.  Down by a score of 3 to 1,  Liam Brosseau took to the net in his leafs debut and made some spectacular stops to keep his team in the game. On the home  end of the rink ,canadiens goaltender Constantine Karpouzis was outstanding in his first game for the Canadiens making , at one point making  3 consecutive stops .  Joseph Norris,Charlie Thibault and Drew Stewart scored for the leafs while Eagen Gardner,Aaron Meddings and  tyke md player Matthew Leybourne responded for the canadiens. like the NHL during the era of the original six teams, the score remained tied..no overtime, no shootout. a good old fashion tie!!!

The 8 game  series continues between the Leafs and the Canadiens on Thursday april 12. Before our game we will have professional coach Eric Belisle on the ice providing some fun and intense drills for all the players. cant wait for the action to start all over. see you at the rink.
