Recap

As promised, game 2  of the Leafs-Canadiens matchup was  entertaining and provided edge of seat excitement.

After another tie 5 to 5 , parents left the arena wondering if they will ever see any of the teams skate off the ice for a victory. Lets now look closer at why this game remained a tie. Liam Brosseau of the Leafs made some spectacular saves including 2 amazing stops from 2 penalty shots from Santino Squillaro. Canadiens goaltender Constantine Karpouzis was equal to the task and stymied the Leaf players on several occasions. Canadiens back player Jack Thibault won player of the game honours for the Canadiens while scoring the tieing goal with less then 30 seconds to play.Jack’s brother Charlie Thibault  also played a very fast paced game and was rewarded with 2 goals .Lucas Jurchison and Maks Brentnell also scored for the Canadiens while Mathew Leybourne  and Bailey Davies each scored 2 goals for the Leafs. April 19 will be the 3rd game between these teams. Will we finally get a winning team? Or will parents and fans be treated to another evenly matched tilt. Stay tuned.
